The members of Washington Street studios invite you to our Photographer's Open House, held at 321 Washington Street on March 19th, from Noon – 4 p.m.
We're seeking up to two photographers (film or digital) to join our intrepid image makers! Come meet some of our photography members and other Washington Street artists, check out our darkroom, talk shop, and let us know about your art.
We have a one-person wet darkroom for traditional B&W film and print development, and a shared studio space for matting, framing, and other non-darkroom work. We also use this space to exhibit for Somerville Open Studios and other Open House events. While we do not have digital printing equipment at this time, we hope to expand in the future.
In addition to the shared photography space, Washington Street is a cooperative studio building and gallery with 21 members. You can see what else Washington Street has to offer here: washingtonst.org.
Please bring a small sample of your work: prints, and/or a device on which we can view your work (website, samples of work).
Thanks, and we look forward to meeting you!
