The Fiber Hive

Every Sunday in April

April 30, 2017 1-4 PM

The Fiber Hive is an open and inclusive community art studio dedicated to engaging people of diverse backgrounds in fiber arts projects, craftivism, skill sharing, and community building.

The Fiber Hive is based on the Art Hive model, an international network of small community-art making spaces that promote arts-based social inclusion. Lauren Leone, the founder of the Fiber Hive, is a fiber artist and an art therapist interested in the potential that craft and fiber arts have for promoting social action.

The Fiber Hive has weekly open studio hours based out of the Washington Street gallery, and also functions as a mobile/traveling art hive, with pops ups at locations such as libraries, community centers, and shelters.

Stop in 1-4 PM on Sundays in April. Following schedule will be once a month, TBD.
